Hey Good Humans!

And….. we’re back. So life has been lifing y’all.

I feel like I blinked and suddenly it was already Q2. So, the girl is in a real life focus mode so bear with me. Help keep me accountable. BLK + BRWN. turns three this Juneteenth, and although I’m not planning a block party this year — I am planning something equally as cool— if not cooler. Something that incorporates a community service project, a Black and Brown business crawl/scavenger hunt, and a super chill party at BLK + BRWN.

I’m so excited to celebrate not only the resiliency of this bookstore that began as a small idea— but the ecosystem behind us that has continueed to be our biggest advocates + allys. Please know that I appreciate every order, regular customer, irregular customer, donation, “I’ve been meaning to come by”, “I heard about you from so-and-so” and everybody in-between.

UPDATE: our Bookstore Rent Fundraiser has crossed the $7,800 mark. We are a little under 40% of hitting our goal of $20,000 to cover the bookstore rent for the year. I really appreciate you all for the random acts of kindness every single time. Thank you for being a part of our story!
