Hey Good Humans!

We’re back with another week of bookish things, and other happenings around our way. So let’s talk about this week and next at BLK + BRWN.!

It’s time. I’ve had a LOT of offers for help since I’ve opened the bookstore and the truth is — I’ve been stalling (ego) on taking people up on it. I’m forever grateful for the friends of mine who have stepped up and stepped in to help this one-woman show along the way— without y’all I wouldn’t be able to do many of the things as bigger opportunities have come my way. This is the perfect flexible job for students, retired folks, or just someone who loves books and wants to be in community at a Black ass bookstore. Lol. So now, in 2024 I plan to put expansion and programming back at the top of my priorities as BNB prepares to turn THREE. Currently, I’m looking for three different roles to be filled: Assistant, Jr. Book Pusher, and Social Media Manager. Currently, it’s mostly volunteer with a free book incentive along with some other benefits. (Eventually it will pay a small stipend but we have to crawl before we walk).
